Vintage Lochgelly Tawse

We carry a selection of the famous (or should that be infamous?) Lochgelly Tawse. These are original and vintage leather pieces that were a favourite implement of discipline in Scottish schools in the 40s and 50s.

They have a meaty thickness, firm enough not to cause wrap-around and with smoothed edges to prevent accidental wounding.

Because each piece is individual we are unable to offer any specific length, width or shade of brown, but they are all fairly similar, being around 20” long, 1½” wide and ¼” thick.

Yes, it is a blind purchase but we promise that it will be a good quality, authentic and vintage piece.
